Crown Hill Materials carries many different types of pathway gravels and decomposed granite. It is more commonly referred to as DG and stabilized DG. Decomposed granite is a very organic and environmentally safe product to use in landscape projects and in commercial building applications. Naturally occurring decomposed granite starts our as solid granite rock that over time is compressed over millions of years and broken down creating a natural fine gravel. DG is widely used in pathways, driveways, access roads, parking lots, parks, and build green projects. For high traffic areas we offer TechniSoil stabilizers to stabilize the pathway gravels and decomposed granites we sell. DG Track Fines
Decomposed Track Fines are similar to the Decomposed Path Fines but the rock is smaller in size. The rock ranges from 1/4" to fines and is more suited for tracks or sports fields. This product also works well in Boccie Ball courts. Track Fines are gold to adobe in color and have a high compaction value. -
DG Path Fines
Pathway DG is a coarse product with gravel sizes approximately 3/8" to fines. This product is gold/adobe in color and blends very well with native landscapes. Decomposed Granite is excellent for access roads, pathways, parking areas, and trails. Please click on an product image below to view larger. -
Ginger Path Fines
Ginger path fines or Sonoma Gold path fines consist of approximately 1/4" rock to fines in a light peach and rosy color. Ginger path fines are very popular landscape rock that is both unique in color and functional. -
Grey Decomposed Granite
This product is a unique grey colored DG product that has grey rock with black speckles on it. Gray Granite works great for pathways in landscapes. -
Crushed Pathway Gravels
Pathway gravels are clean angular rock about 3/8" that compacts really well to make a great surface to walk on or drive on. This gravel also permeates water really well and is and excellent choice for natural permeable pavements.
